What Do You See, Come Look With Me: My First Lift-The-Flap Word Search Book
Published in Hardcover by Little Simon (June, 1998)
Author: Sian Tucker
Average review score:

Great illustrations and lots of activity
I fell in love with this book and immediately wanted to know what other books Tucker has done. Brightly colored illustrations with lots of word identification an finding the objects on the bottom of the page under the flaps or in the picture. My 17 month old loves it. Flaps are slightly fragile so I supervise him with the book. Absolutely adorable. Highly reccommend.

Our Daughters Favorite Lift the flap book
Our daughter has spent hours doing searches for the items in this book. She likes it a lot. Very colorful. Overall: very good.

13 Tennessee Ghosts and Jeffrey
Published in Paperback by Univ. of Alabama Press (February, 1988)
Authors: Kathryn Tucker Windham and Lecia Brogdon
Average review score:

Classic scary reading
I have been reading and re-reading Ms. Windham's books since I was a child, beginning with 13 Mississippi Ghosts and Jeffrey. That one was fabulous and this one is just as scary. A word of caution - do not read any of the stories right before you go to bed, or be sure to leave a light on if you do! Being a ghost story "purist", as in I tend to only really enjoy those based on eyewitness or earwitness accounts, the stories included in this volume rate right at the top!

Getting to know your partner better with 30 days
I really enjoyed the book. My wife and I have always been looking for good tools to help enrich our marriage and this was great. It has good perspectives and allowed us to talk about issues that sometimes come up in our marriage, but which we have not had a great opportunity to talk about. For any couple that wants to grow more deeply in their marriage, I highly recommend this book.

The official Ada 95 Standard.
This book is the official standards manual for the Ada 95 language (ISO standard). It takes an advanced reader, and is not a spead read.

This manual is part of a two manual release, with Ada 95 Rationale manual being the other in the series. This manual gives JUST the facts, that manual gives the reasons behind the facts.

Alfred Jensen: Paintings and Diagrams from the Years 1957-1977
Published in Paperback by Buffalo Fine Arts Academy (June, 1977)
Authors: Alfred Jensen, Linda L. Cathcart, Marcia Tucker, and Albright-Knox Art Gallery
Average review score:

The best
The writing in the book was sanctioned by the artist himself, and features extensive firsthand quotes. This is virtually essential toward approaching this artist's work. If you can find one of these, it's well worth it. The painting on the cover is now at the Hirshhorn in Washington. I recommend Jensen's work to all those unafraid of art that challenges you in all ways, and I'm not just saying that 'cause I'm his son.

America's Church: Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception
Published in Hardcover by Our Sunday Visitor (February, 2000)
Author: Gregory W. Tucker

America's Church
Being neither Catholic nor a fan of coffee table books I was surprised to find myself reading and enjoying Gregory Tucker's America's Church., a history of The Bascilia of the National Shrine in Washington.DC., and of the numerous personalities who persisted in creating it. This is no ordinary story: It took over 60 years to build the Shrine, which is dedicated to the glory of the Virgin Mary. It is a tale of charismatic churchmen and of ordinary men and women; of near defeat, years when Shrine stood neglected and unfinished; and, finally, of splendid triumph upon its completion. As Tucker makes clear, the Shrine really is "America's Church" -- it exists because of the ordinary Catholic men, women and children who contributed to it over the years. In telling their story, Tucker furnishes us with more than a story about a building but with a history of Roman Catholicism in America. . The book is beautifully designed, with photographs -- which made me realize that the shrine is as majestic as the most beautiful of Europe's cathedrals. You don't have to be a Catholic to enjoy America's Church.

American Seashells; The Marine Molluska of the Atlantic and Pacific Coasts of North America
Published in Hardcover by Van Nostrand Reinhold (Trade) (December, 1974)
Author: Robert Tucker, Abbott
Average review score:

This is THE definitive book on both Pacific and Atlantic
If you have any serious interest in shells or mollusks, get this book. The second edition, published in 1974, is much better than the first. It is chock-full of excellent identifying information, as well as micro-environmental preferences of each animal. Kudos, Dr. Abbott!
